Quick commentary on the slip of Microsoft's Windows Vista; a quick look at the Babelcast podcast/vodcast (http://www.flexatone.net/podcast.html) which is a sort of a cool multimedia update on the old http://www.jodi.org concept. Bluejack, you say that this world could be paradise - and between the lines, there's the assumption that it will probably never happen (and not in the sense that nothing is perfect and even the smallest glitch would make 'paradise' a misused term, but more seriously, there's the pessimism that people will go on being stupid, destroying, etc. forever). I guess it is too vast a subject to capture in a single cheerful paragraph, and there are too many scary things we know about our human nature that keep us from being too optimistic, but here's a thought from linguist/psychologist Steven Pinker's book "How The Mind Works":

Very clear and entertaining tutorial; but I tried to find the adobe gamma.cpl file but neither it nor a folder named control panel were in the common files, nor anywhere else following an advanced scan for files of that name. I have vista and a recent copy of CS3, never had CS2 on this computer. any ideas?
